Melissa Simon, Physician Assistant
Melissa
Simon was born in Phoenix,
AZ but her
family moved to Las
Vegas when she was just 12 days
old so she definitely considers herself a native Las Vegan. She earned a
Bachelor of Science degree from American
University
in Washington,
DC.
While living in DC, she worked in public health and collaborated with the
Surgeon General and the National Institutes of Health. During her junior year,
she lived on a ship for 3 months that sailed around the world. Her travels took
her to 10 different countries including Cuba,
Brazil,
South Africa,
Kenya,
India,
Vietnam,
Cambodia,
China
and Japan.
She moved back to Las Vegas
to attend Touro
University’s
College
of Osteopathic Medicine, earning her Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
She feels OBGYN encompasses many facets of medicine and finds it to be the most
rewarding specialty.
Melissa is a Board Certified Physician Assistant and a
member of the Nevada Academy of Physician Assistants. She enjoys spending time with family, cooking and practicing bikram yoga.
